Planning Board and Board of Adjustments Members
The Primary duty of the Planning Board is to provide for and guide the orderly growth and development of the community. This is a seven-member board.
The Board of Adjustments is the body established to hear appeals of decisions rendered by Zoning Administrators, interpret unclear provisions in the zoning ordinance, decide on applications by landowners to permit buildings or land uses which vary from the zoning regulations. The Broad of Adjustments is comprised of five members from the Planning Board.
If needed, the Planning Board has regular meetings on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm. The Board of Adjustment cases follow the Planning Board Meeting at 7:00 pm.
Members are appointed by the Town Council and must be a resident of the Town. When a vacancy occurs the resident interested in filling a seat on the Board will need to complete an application.
